| What has been the toughest time of your life so far and how did you overcome it? STAR if you like my story (you do not have to read it): Well everyone on this section knows me as the annoying Indian guy that asked a lot about whether or not a Latina would date my type and a lot on interracial dating. There is a cause of this. I went to high school in a not so diverse deep south town, graduated high school in 2008 but those 4 years were miserable. I was picked on a lot since I was the only Indian in my class, daily I heard racial slurs, I was never physically assaulted since I was bigger than most of the guys, didn't make many friends because most guys did not really like my "type". I was overweight, most guys would not let me play on the basketball court and would often crack jokes about my race/ethnicity. Took a trip to Los Angeles one summer and talked to an Indian guy there talking about how he has good time dating White girls and how Latinas and Asian women won't give him a chance. Well I liked those type of women so I get a bit more depressed, and back in high school guys would always crack jokes on me and I tried to stick up for myself but the teachers would side with the guys. Leave high school, get into a local university, wasn't able to get out of the town back then, maintain a 4.0 GPA in college (graduated high school with a 3.3), and manage to make it into some really good schools (three Ivies) as a transfer student. Well, a few weeks back I hear news that another girl from the university who I have known for months is transferring to a college in NYC as well and I end up getting into Columbia University, financial aid works out and well, now I live with her haha!
